What kind of business (in general)? How much money are you looking for?

What's wrong with Prosper or Lending Club? They don't charge a fee,
won't mislead you. YOU set the terms, and if investors are agreeable to
the terms you get a loan? If not, you're not out anything.

Other than that, family and friends that know you and know your
potential are usually good places to look for funding a small business.
