PostSubject: Nutritional information on obesity   Mon 27 Jul 2009, 8:21 am

Fat is the chief source of energy for the body. It contains the highest number of calories, heat energy, per gram of weight of the three different types of foods. ( The other two are protein and carbohydrate.) The storage of fat is a natural body function, and the body converts and leftover carbohydrates and proteins into fat. when we overindulge ourselves in the wrong kinds of carbohydrates, "junk foods," fat cells develop into fat storage depots. (Colimores)

The healthy person has a body which works in a delicate balance...the overweight person does not. As we get out of shape, the ability of the body to utilize fats for energy decreases. Stress amplifies this process, as the body tends to convert more food into fat when we subject ourselves to stressful conditions.

Accumulated body fat is known as adipose tissue. The chemical name for this fat is triglyceride. When the cells are not able to burn the triglyceride. When the cells are not able to burn the triglycerides as fast as they accumulate, the body becomes overweight. Chronic overweight can contribute to every degenerative disease that besets the twentieth century human: high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, atheorsclerosis and circulatory disorders, hardening of the arteris, osteoarthritis (through strain on the joints), greater susceptibility to infectious diseases, personality problems poor adjustment to temperature changes, greater susceptibility to cancer (75 percent greater according to Paavo Airola), premature aging and premature death (there is a 50 percent greater mortality rate for those who are 20 percent or more overweight).

Fat is not all bad. It is essential for proper functioning of our bodies. There needs to be a certain amount of fat in the bloodstream. The obese person often has too high blood sugar and too low fat levels. This cause constant hunger. The obese person is frequently suffering from malnutrition. This is not only due to too much of the wrong foods but also to improper digestion even of the right ones.

The following ingredients acts to normalize the appetite. It does this by bringing nutrients to the body that furnish nutrition, enhancing fat metabolism, freeing up fat into the bloodstream, correcting digestion and working on the appetite center of the brain.

* Vitamin B6
* L-Phenylalanine
* Inositol
* Raw pituitary
* Ox Bile extract
* Pacific Kelp
* Raw Hypothalamus
* Buchu Leaves Extract
* Corn Silk Extract
* La-Arginine
* Chromium (Chromium Yeast)
* Zinc Aspartate
* Potassium Aspartate
* Magnesium Aspartate
* Niacinamide
* Thiamine: HCL
* Riboflavin
* Lipase
* Choline (Bitartrate)
* Betaine
* Vitamin A (Fish liver oil)
* Pacreatin

This exclusive formulation also contains sea plant concentrate, herbal extract, spirulina, chickweed, Fennel, Bee pollen, Raw liver concentrate, Raw heart concentrate, raw kindey copncentrate, raw spleen concentrate, and raw brain concentrate.

According to department of agriculture surveys taken over the last thirty years, vitamin A is one of the four nutrients that is consistently below standard in the American diet. (The other three are vitamin C, calcium and iron.) Vitamin A is stored in the liver and it is necessary for the improved function of the liver and gall bladder. This vitamin uses the fats of the body and bile to work successfully. It makes bile more available for use by the body.

Choline, inositol and betaine are part of the lipotropic family. Lipotropics are substances which are necessary for the release of energy from dietary fats. They are essential for losing unwanted pounds and for keeping the weight normal. C(Colimores) if the body is deficient in lipotropics, fatty deposits will accumulate in the liver just because it does not have the proper conveyance to transport fats through the body. Betaine is an alkaloid derivative from beets that is also a find liver detoxifier. Choline and inositol are both part of the vitamin B complex. They are also required for the manufacture of lecithin.

Lecithin is a well-known fat emulsifier and cholesterol "Detergent". It is found in every cell of the body. It is helpful in the treatment of heart disease and liver problems. Not only does lecithin normalize fat transport, it provides essential polyunsaturated fats to the body and it helps maintian artery cell membrane health.

Vitamin B6 is necessary for the synthesis fo lecithin, and works along with choline and inositol to initiate the burning action of fatty acids in teh cells. It is also involved in fat and carbohydrate metabolism and is chromium. B6 eliminates edema, superfluous water retention, by setting up a balance of the minerals sodium and potassium, the regulators of the body fluids.

L-phenylalanine likewise works as an appetite regulator. It is an amino acid found in most protein sources, especially spirulina. It is successful in working on our hunger pangs because of its part in the production of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine which reduces hunger in the brain. L-phenylalanine is also a potent stimulator of an appetite suppressing hormone produced by the intestine, called cholecystokinin, CCK. It is also involved in eliminating waste and has a kidney and bladder function. L-arginine is likewise an appetite regulator.

Spirulina is included in the formula not only for its synergistic effect on phynylalanine but also because of its nutrient content. It is the richest known source of naturally occurring vitamin B12. This is especially important for dieting vegetarians.

Sea vegetables are famous for their rich nutrient content especially for being natural sources of minerals. Kelp is known to be of great benefit to people interested in losing weight. It promotes balanced absorption, assimilation and distribution of nutrients in the body. Kelp accumulates large amounts of potassium and iodine in its tissues. Potassium is important for kidney and muscle function as well as for fluid balance and iodine influences the proper function of thyroid which regulates metabolism.

Bee pollen is another substance which is rich in nutrients and complements endocrine gland function. the well-known nutritionist Carlson Wade has said that the substances in pollen stimulate a sluggish metabolism so that "internal rejuvenation is possible through glandular awakening."

There are several herbs included in the formula. They function mainly as diuretics. Water weighs eleven percent more than fat. The diuretic action of the herbs releases water in the body, allowing the kidneys to work more effectively. Buchu leaves, corn silk, and fennel all have diuretic properties. Corn silk is good for the liver and for bile production which chickweed is recommended for liver ailments.

Many overweight people are hyper allergenic and/or hypoglycemic or diabetic. Often times they suffer from inadequate liver function. WE recommend that if you are over-weight or know someone who is that Research Bulletins titled "Sugar Blues," "Allergies," and "The liver" also be read.

Remember, this wonderful supplement may not solve your weight problem single-handedly. Correct diet and sufficient exercise are imperative to the person who wants to achieve and maintain proper weight and good health.
