jeweler said the Wittnauer watch was worth 400-500 dollars. The 2nd
jeweler did something with his back turned to me and said it was not
real gold and he offered $40 and just melt it down since it was too
scarred up to resell. 100% gold is what my father said it was, he even
labelled it such and never wore it. It's not an antique but we need to
know it's value. The 2nd jeweler may have popped the back off and saw
some marking, or tried a magnet on it. How to know if it is real gold?
3rd opinion? If they say $250 then we have 3 different opinions and
somebodies wrong.
